HOW IT WORKS

1. SIGN UP TO SWAP AND GO

Avoid stinky bins and greenhouse gas emissions. Sign up to Swap and Go and receive your free purple caddy, delivered to your door, and get started!

2. FILL IT

Fill up your caddy with your household’s weekly food scraps.

3. SWAP IT

Swap your full caddy for a new one at your local Swap Station.

4. WE COMPOST IT

Leave the dirty work to us! We turn your food scraps into compost back at our local compost hubs. Plus, we leave free finished compost (food for your plants) at the Swap Station at the start of each month!

WHY COMPOST?

  • Reduce our greenhouse gas emissions - because when food goes into landfill there is no oxygen, so it rots away and the byproduct is methane gas.

  • Stop filling landfill with food. This only takes up space and is a recipe for a toxic sandwich when it mixes with plastic and metal.

  • Keep resources local - stop trucking our waste out of the city.

  • Making compost helps us feed our soil so that we can grow more food
